Grasping Ideas Through Existing Music Videos

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=H86730HjLVA&safe=active

Camera:
The video starts with an establishing shot which tells the audience where the video is based. It then moves to a short narrative of the music video. In the narrative it used camera shots such as close ups which show emotion which the audience can relate to. Also cuts and zooms when moving to different positions of the narrative. By having a narrative the audience feel more involved. A convention that I have spotted is band shots in an isolated area, this help the audience split between the story and the band shots, this is shown through fast cuts. Another different shot I noticed was a low angle shot which is used on the main singer which shows power and leadership.
Costume:
The clothes worn by the actors are grey, dull colours to show represent their life in type of world they are in. The band members wear dark colours, mainly sticking to black, white and red.
